Okay, you automatic watch mavens...

Even my 6-month old daughter agrees with the SMP:

Buying pre-owned is definitely a viable option. One of these days, I plan to buy either an Omega Spedmaster Pro (Moon watch) or a X-33 pre-owned. BTW, you might want to check this guy out:

It's my understanding that the Moon watch version is just a different back and a couple hundred more dollars. Why would you choose to pay more just for the special back? Is it the limited edition and collectibility aspect?

I haven't taken it off long enough to take a photo but it's amazing how little justice Omega's own picture does when compared to the real thing sitting on my wrist. (Model 2055.80)

Thanks for the help, gents (I think). I'll be blaming you all if I have to sell more knives to finance future purchases! :D

Thanks. I was happy to find that dial (hey, my name is "Blues" after all) with the "older" style bracelet instead of the new one which is similar to that used on the Speedmaster.

Electric blue dial with older bracelet is tough!!!! I got Bond SMP because I wanted a Blue face and old bracelet. I don't like the Speedy bracelet that normally comes on the electric blue SMP. Where did you get this? Very nice!!!

Thanks. I told my local authorized Omega dealer what I wanted. She made me an offer I couldn't refuse. (Very competitive with gray market internet dealers that don't offer Omega warranty.)
