What type steel is the blade?
Is it a usable knife or just a display type, more to be looked at than used?
Thank you!

The trench knife is a stainless steel blade and, thus, none of the commonly-known high carbon steels used by knife makers apply. It will not have the strength and edge retention that you'd be used to with any state of the art modern knife, except the ones you'd find at the gas station. And, that's just about what category it falls into, just maybe on a larger scale and, of course, with the added feature of the knocks. It's really just for fun and that's reflected in it's price, which includes shipping. But, rest assured, it is sharp for the time being and you could definitely chop some stuff up with it and, hey, it's stainless, so it won't corrode underneath the black paint (very much). Thanks!
