OKCA One DAY Away

Thanks all just got home It was best Fighting knife that the knife at the top of this thread won Ray won Best bowie. best hand forged. I am ready to go to sleep now after driving for 5 hours but I will tell you all about the show soon it was a lot of fun.

Here's one of my favorite pictures from the show. This is the fellow across the isle from me. :D This pretty face will certainly wake you up during a long knife show. It is now twice in a row that Dave has won Best Fighter and I'm just not sure what's with this Bruce Bump.

Thanks Ray I think Ill ask for a new table next year i need to go to work but tonight I will post some of my best shots from the show

Took a delivery from Bruce, and picked up a small, very cool hunter from Raymond....and got to bust Dave Lisch's chops.....GREAT steel.

The show is always fun, but it also seemed like makers were moving a fair amount of work this year....which is always encouraging.

I may do a full write up if there is some interest shown in this thread.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

Ray, congrats on the awards! (I sure hope you didn't trade that war club for the hersheys bar you're holding in that pic ;) )

STeven, I'd certainly be interested in a review of the show.

Yes please. :)

Congrats Bruce, Ray and Dave - well done guys! Ray - is that war club in the photo above yours? Got another pic?

Bruce - can't wait to see what Paul and Coop do with this one - and to get my mits on it, of course. :D

Roger

Wow, I see Dave and Ray really dressed to the nines for this shindig. :D ;)

Ray, I've seen that bowie somewhere before, I'm sure of it...

Bruce, did you have the companion for the Newell Bowie on display as well?

Congrats to all!

Roger, Yes, the war club is mine. I made it to resemble the weapon the Osic Tribe of Alaska prized so much. :D I'll take a picture of it later today. John Cohea did a little sprucing up on it.

Johnathan, The small knife that Steve purchased is the one with the darker handle. Steve found out that the old saw steel had some pretty unique qualities to it.

Thanks Ray - I'll look forward to the pic - I sure like what I can see so far.

Roger

what a great show I missed:(
I hope you guys all sold a lot of knives!

ps. Ray, I'm loving the dagger blank, I can't wait to get started on it. Gonna be another super long wip thread from me in the near future:thumbup::D

This year I got to attend the 2010 tactical BBQ an edgy little get together at Gunners some of you might know Gunner John, he is on the forum now and then. he had some folks over for a very nice BBQ and the man can cook some of the best chicken and prime rib I ever had. So thanks gunner for a great time. I should thank John Davis for letting me tag along with him to it. Now some of my best shots from the show, most of the folks are from BF. some you might know.
