For some time this was one of the shows I always wanted to attend. It has a proud history - someone will correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that Leatherman had its origins at this show many years ago.
A few years ago it seemed to me that something happened and it was not the same, and I have not been thinking much anymore about making that trip. Other than the AKI, the west coast show I most want to go to now is the Solvang show. The Gathering sounds like a blast, but most of the makers seem to exhibit the kind of knives to which I do not gravitate, plus Labor Day weekend is pretty much always family time for me.
