Hey guys,
Letting go a one superb piece of functional art: Olamic Tactical COmapct Wayfarer--one off. This is the Wayfarer Compact, not the midtech 247.
Bought the knife here about two weeks ago and I have neither carried it or used it, only flipped, admired it and put it back in it's case. Honestly green isn't my favorite color, so this one is off to a new home.
Amazing detail in this knife. File worked backspacer which is anodized green around the edges. A compound ground mirror-polished blade in CTS-XHP steel. Simply stunning. I did put it on the fine stones of my SharpMaker to get relieve a little catch in the edge. It'll shave hair now.
Ti clip with great retention, not too stiff. It's also anodized green around the edges and then rubbed on the actual presentation of the clip. Again, details are abundant. Carbon Fiber scales which create a unique pattern unlike a standard slab you find on a ZT or similar knife. Anodized liners provide excellent stability and lockup; zero play. Medium detent which makes it perfect for flipping (in various ways), manual thumb opening via the perfectly shaped hole and also middle finger flicking. A true utilitarian design. Hardware and pivot have some marks as do the bolsters. This will all be taken care of via Olamic's complimentary spa service and transferrable lifetime warranty.
Comes with a custom Olamic padded zipper pouch. Birthcard: 12-15-15...she's a Sagittarius too
Lifetime warranty from Eugene Olamic is the best there is I hear. I've talked to him for a span of 6 months. Truly a great guy and artisan.
