I will not see mine til Monday
I will be out of town.
Yeah.... no fun. That sucks, I hate it when that happens. I have to travel on short notice pretty frequently and the worst is when it involves leaving just in time to miss a new arrival that I'm excited about.
I adore my 247 too but got to play with the Buskers at Blade Show and, yeah. I'm a big fan, especially the cleaver/Wharny blade style. No idea yet what they'll run price-wise but I'm already saving my pennies for one!Swish just isn't my style. The Busker on the other hand... (Love my 247).
A Mini Swish with a 2.99" blade would be great. May as well go with M390 instead of Elmax.
Great minds, RamZar, great minds. I was on the phone the other day with Eugene (who is great to work with) and I suggested a 3" Swish if they ever decided to do a small model. He told me about the Busker and I signed up for one, but I would still love a mini Swish, I think that would be amazing.
I think I've found my new grail! I was browsing the Olamic website last night, as a matter of fact.
evilgreg , I'd love to see some pics with the blade closed too!
This just came in the mail, so after playing with it for a bit I grabbed my cell phone to get a quick early photo:

First impression: wow all over again. I love the way my first one looks, but this one is an ounce lighter (3.7oz, very light for a knife this large) and it doesn't pick up fingerprints at all.
The action is what I would consider perfect. Tight, but smooth, and it flips as well as any knife I've ever handled.
The handle on this one looks somewhat busy but a weight saving of a whole ounce is great. It kind of looks like a solar system with planets and their moons in a tight space!
I like the aesthetics of the Swish models with holes down the middle although you do not get as much weight savings. Both the blue and bronze anodized ones look nice and the finish looks impervious to fingerprints.

Fun fact: each hole saves about 1g in weight.
