There were 1 or 2 others that did grinds in this manner back in the 60's. DMOk I see it now.. is this rare in knife making?

I have a sheath like that and the knife was made in 1967
DSS was correct in his assessment of the date of the 103.The 1965 catalog shows the flap-over sheath,while the 1962-63 catalog shows the strap sheath like yours.I can't find any 1964 catalog.
You can send it back to Buck Knife company and have it refurbished or you can leave it in its current condition.

Yes the circles are on both sides of the knife. Hard to findThe flap over sheaths started in 1964 so it's not a 65 year knife.
Arielen, could you look and the end of your 103's pommel and tell us if there is a circle present? Thanks, DM
Ok so barrel nuts ended in last part of 63..well then that would narrow the year down to 63/64.. still good for meThanks for these photos. These make me think your 103 could be from the last half of 63, after the barrel nut models. Or first half of 64,
before the flap over sheaths. DM
