Old 110, Legit?

It does not hit the spring.

Also, I was surprised, but the blade is full -- measures 3 7/8.

On version 1 variation 1 the name BUCK is on the right side, variation 2 was etched so its not that. Does that mean there is no WALK/TALK Drei3ree meaning you have to full open it with the Nail nick.

drei3ree - I stared at your 4th picture and just peeking out in the blade slot, is that the spring. If it is then it could be bent up too high. I owned many early knives and as I asked BUCK if they would attempt to do something that needed to be done they shyed away from working on early knives because if something breaks there isn't replacement parts. If that is the spring then that could be why the blade was ground and it does not work.

Looking back you're correct... Second Ver., var. 1 the stamp is on the left side. With butt rivets integral to right hand side and brass rocker rivet. (which I could not tell from the photos). Carry on. DM

No, that's the blade that you see.

I emailed Joe H. and sent him pictures. He said it's a 2-3 version transition and that, "It looks completely factory to me."
