I went to see my mom today and when I get there I see my brother has left a couple of knives for me to sharpen. 1 was a cheap Taiwan folder but the other was an old Buck 110 that had BUCK *110* USA. It is is pretty good shape and still tight and the blade didn't need much at all to bring back to life. I also gave a quick polish to the bolsters and liners and pins. The sheath is in great condition but I do not know if it is the original.

From the data sheet I'm sure this is a version 6, variation 1

I rang him today to ask where he got it and it's from a car that he had to repo.
I wonder if he will take a new 110 in exchange for this one.

Yeah, that's what I'd do. Unless he's a Buck collector, he'll be glad to have the new one and think you're nuts for swappin' for an "old" one.

Thanks guys, I'm gunna offer him the new one I got and see if he will swap. He's not a collector and he never carries a knife on him.
The more I handle this knife the more I want it. Isn't that breaking a commandment or something? Thou shall not covet thy brothers knife.

Totally cracks me up...funniest thing I have heard in a while.:D

As funny as the commandment concerning your siblings. Thou shall not kill.
