Here I'm showing you a Spanish "SAK" (Aitor) that first went into production in 1973 and remained available until the mid-80s. It’s in NOS condition, and I’ve managed to track down the exact model using catalog photos I found online...

Honestly, perfect. A bit of Ballistol and it’s like new. It’s hard to compare other multi-tools to a Victorinox when it comes to quality, but Aitor comes close. I recently restored a Standard and a Climber (1974-1985 pre-Spartan). The first one was in great shape and the second was in catastrophic condition, and it’s clear they are built to last...

Look how worn the Climber's blade was so scratched up that I polished it by hand using different grits of wet sandpaper.

Aitor currently produces military and civilian-grade folding knives, fixed-blade knives, and other high-quality tools in the Basque Country (Spain) for the global market. Several armies have used their knives as standard issue.
