Wow! fifty odd years old, that's something. Still a very robust knife with no real issues. Thanks rarreola.

You're welcome.

It's like mine, around the same age.

Whoa! beautiful with the MOP scales. Seen a few in stag now which are also very nice. Think mine's the workaday version in faux stag delrin, not that I'm complaining. That and the wear and tear makes my one a user and something I don't have to be too careful with which is fine. I've got the day off tomorrow and am looking forward to putting a nice edge on it. :)

I have an unused 182 no INOX on the blade and a silver paper tag hung off the bail by a red string. The bail has x's on it. The shield on mine is only a tree and has the old style can opener. This may be a rare one as it falls in line with some of the characteristics of the pre WWII etches. the tang stamps are what I'd call a deep acid etch as the letters look like they are a well done printed type. I'll post pics if anyone is interested.

I've got a very similar Boker, it has Alemania stamped on the blade tangs along with the tree logo. The 182 blade etching is very very faint.

From the 1960's I'd expect to see W. Germany on an export. Really nice find at that price!

Since Alemania is I believe the Spanish word for Germany, it might be a Böker stamped for the S.American market? Or to differentiate it from those Bökers made in Argentina- arbolitto- tree brand?

Had to look it over again, I was mistaken about the etch on the main blade, it is 7593, not 182, and the tang stamp is three lines:
BOKER
SOLINGEN
GERMANY-ALEMANIA
