I don't believe that this is "The Carrigan Knife" but certainly appears to be one by James Black. Ironically Black wasn't trained as a bladesmith but a silversmith. For someone who learned the trade on his own, he had some impressive bladesmithing skills.

Very nice work. I know that for many, the word "Bowie" conjures up an idea of a massive clip point/full guard knife, but in my mind the above is what I think of (and prefer) when it comes to a Bowie, not to mention more historically accurate. :thumbup:
