I've got a 119 that is stamped "Buck USA". "Buck" is next to the guard and perpendicular to the blade. I would say it's in very good condition with some scratches on the bolsters. Has been sharpened some. I'd say about 95-98% of the blade is still there. Nothing else has been done to it.

This was my very first Buck and I believe I purchased it either in the very late 60s or early 70s.
Anyone know how old this is, and approx. worth.

Thanks,
Todd.

I have one that old as well my dad gave to me not sure how much its worht but it sure feels a hell of alot better than the new ones IMHO. Better sheath too.

Todd,
Welcome to the Buck Forums. Your knife is from 1967 to 1971 time frame. Check ebay to get an idea what 2 line 119s are selling for, because a knife is only worth what someone is willing to pay.

Yep, 1967 to 1971. There is a way to narrow it down even more if you are interested, but you have to be able to tell if the handle spacers are red bone hard fiber or red micarta.
That knife has its pros and cons from a user standpoint. It is 440C steel, which a lot of guys will tell you is superior. The bad news is the edge geometry we used back then made it dificult for the novice to resharpen.

Thanks Joe.
Looks like the spacers are fiber. They are a brownish red color and you can see different layers of material in them.
If your talking about bevel angle, it's long since gone. It's cut at 20 degrees now.
By the way, do you know what bevel angle did they put on it originally?
Thanks again,
Todd
