I tried to start a thread for this before.... so instead I have now joined as a gold member. See the pictures for the models. Basically I'm just curious what these are all worth. They are all in perfect condition. I'm likely going to sell them, but I have no clue where to even start pricing them. Thanks.

You need to update you account to reflect that you are now 'Gold'.

At the top right, click on Settings
On the left, under 'My Settings', click on Permission Groups
On the right, next to 'Gold Member', click on Identify me as a member of this group
On the right, click on Update Display Group

I would start at making a chart of what you paid for them then research the going prices of each on the auction sites, vendor sites, and forum Exchanges and record the values.

Re: Gold... Thanks!

Re: Values... I purchased these about 15 years ago now.... (or so)... I don't have any clue what I paid. I've been digging around on eBay, but figured someone on here may have a reasonable idea also.

There's a fair chance that you will get some lowball offers on that 42. I can't give you a number but be cautious of private offers and do some more research before you sell.

At the least, I recommend that you visit the "for sale by individuals" subforum of this site and use the "advanced search" feature to get some perspective.

Go shopping for the same knives. Add or subtract depending on how fast you want to sell.

Try checking the completed/sold auctions at the big auction site for the knives you have. The average selling price for each knife you have should be close to what you can expect to get for yours.

NOTE: Toss out any abnormally high and low price, to avoid skewing the data.

Keep that Benchmade 42, they are hard to find and highly sought after. Even if you aren't into knives much anymore, that is something to keep ;)

Eh... it's a cool knife, but I'm sure someone else would cherish it more than I.

The Spyderfly is in the $250 - 300 range.

The 42 floats between $300 - 400, but might push a bit higher if you are willing to let it sit.

I had a BM42 that sold for about $475 3ish years ago. Very hard to find, very sought after. I definitely wouldn't take under $400 for it. If it is mint, it would go for higher.

The 42's used to go much higher, those prices shook a bunch loose in the last few years, and in turn dropped prices.

The prices I've seen totally NIB 42's the last year or so were averaging $375- 400, but there were a few higher and lower too, The highest so far from memory was $465.

Check sold listings on ebay using the advanced search function. Auctions get you good price on most well known knives. I suggest having them end on Sunday evening with no reserve.

I'll take a stab at it (no pun intended...) since you became a supporting member - good job!

The 9050SBT - between 150-200
The 5780 Applegate - they are still available today for around 100 - so yours might be worth more as an older collectible -
The 2550 - available today new for $185 -
The 3550BT - Mel Pardue teflon auto - they sold for just over 100 new, but have not been available for a while as far as I can tell - might be worth doing some research to get the best price on this one -
The 145 Nimravus fixed - $150-240 on the bay -
The 705 McHenry - $150 ish - can't find much on these for sale today...but it is a nice axis lock Benchmade...
The 310as - one sold for $200 in Feb 2015 on Ebay -
The 3100 Benchmite - here is a thread on these - could not find any sales of them
http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1294278-Benchmade-Auto-Benchmite-3100-worth

The 42 is well covered above - the prices on these rose after the movie "kick ass" where it was featured - $400-$450 is around where I have seen these going in mint condition - probably the prize of your collection.

the 1570ST Avalanche - 80-100, maybe a little more
The C35SBK - around $175-$200

I missed a couple, but you get the idea - take you model number, search google, and do a little extrapolating -

Since you are now a gold member (thanks!) you can post a for sale thread - start a little higher and then work down your prices until they sell -

The folks here will not let you sell something too cheaply, as someone will want what you have - as long as you don't get in a hurry....

Best regards -

Sweet. Thanks. Posted a bunch for sale. I'm in no rush, just working my way through the collection a little bit at a time.
