These blocks were cut from a large slab of old growth redwood that had been put away in someones garage for several decades.
The burl is extra nice with a bold metallic luster that makes the figure seem to move around beneath the surface of the wood.
There is also a color change from light to dark as the light hits the wood from different directions.
These blocks were stabilized by K&G Stabilizing.
and.....they are very affordable with most blocks priced between $45 and $55. Some are less and a few are a bit more.
