Old Guy Gets New Pants:

Always impressed by your work, sir. The belt you made me, and holster for my .357mag are holding up very, very nicely, and will continue to do so for years to come. Thanks for sharing :)

Beautiful work.

I bought an Imperial frontier version of this knife ( end of the handle is rounded but thats the only difference ) about a year ago off Ebay but the seller apparently lost it and refunded me.

It would have looked great with the white delrin replaced by something more attractive and carried in a nice sheath like this.
I have never actually held one, but it seems like a knife that would feel great in hand.

A simple knife, but I would not call them " cheap ".
Economical yes, but the scale material is the only thing differentiating it from a knife nobody would dare describe as " cheap ".

Some folks really get hung up on the word cheap. Let me put it this way- the knife is considerably less valuable than the sheath it rides in.

I regularly see pack strings when I am in the back country of Sequoia/Kings Canyon. And I occasionally find thrown mule and horse shoes, too, frequently only half of a worn out shoe.

Nice sheath!
Thank you!

I almost hired an outfitter this year to pack in for a week on a dunnage trip. Didn’t draw the deer tag for it though 🥲 That’s some great leather work!
Thanks.

I used to love packing in the deer hunters.
They always fed me well, had plenty of adult beverages, and they tipped very well if they got their deer.
We'd packed in to Little Whitney Meadows one year for some fishing. Little Whitney is a public pasture fenced around with lots of trees a big meadow and Golden Trout creek running right through the middle of it. Unsaddle, turn the ponies loose and they are in horsey Cancun! Been there a couple days and kicking back in camp late in the afternoon and here comes a backpacker. He's pretty gimped up and hobbling. Walk over to the trail and start talking to him a bit and ask him if he'd like a beer. "You have beer?" "Dude we have a whole beer pack horse!"
