Old Hickory Kitchen Knives

For the money, you can't beat Old Hickory. They cut great and sharpen up quickly. What more do you want from a knife? Plus they have a cool, old time look to them.
 
I got some Old Hickory knives from my grandfather for Christmas one year, I use them everyday...after he passed I got 2 of his knives that are less than half left from all the sharpening they have gone through..not sure how old they are but they have to be at least 40 years old... :)
 
My favourite knife is a 25 cent carbon steel folder . I,ve never heard of old hickory I,ll have to google it . Kenk could you e-mail me ? I want to ask a question on your deer skin gloves .
 
I have several Old Hickory knives that have been in my kitchen since the year of the blue snow.. They look a little rough, but having been used since 1980 or so, they still take and hold a very good edge and are easy to keep sharp.
