"Old Knives"

It’s looking like a good haul week here.
My first POCKETEZE Robeson 623414 brown bone dog leg jack. Listed at 3” 1/4 yet measuring in at 3” 1/16th. Made between 1922-1939 all nickel/steel and snappy, tight action with sweet liners. Scales are well preserved and again, with close to flush on all stops. Enough metal remaining for a great carry.

My second POCKETEZE model 623875. At 3” 5/8s, it’s one of my smoothest walk and talkers. The pen’s blade with the slightest play, is highly modified and the main’s is tight and hardly used. A Beauty of a brown bone Robeson with smooth and contrasting scales. The variation in hues is such a bonus.C64BF44C-30B9-456B-B200-665ABB60D22C.jpegAF8F1701-3242-4C88-B717-5F7240A60D1C.jpeg1803586A-A049-4E6C-8ACF-F7F5C9A13997.jpeg7778F8D2-241B-456B-8987-5594C841D911.jpeg48A0177A-4F4E-40EC-BB62-5909B14C2ACE.jpeg

I luv the bones on that NY, those blades just have those lines.
Well preserved, very knice!!
The Walden’s built like a fine timepiece isn’t it! It has the details, the blades are so cozy in their wells. Just dreamy and shapely to boot!!
CE & CF candidates all day long, enjoy my friend:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Rob - you have some wonderful Knives and I always enjoy your posts. Yet another two great additions to a fine stable of Knives my friend. I really like that NYK, but that Walden is a very nice piece. You can just see the amazing skills it took to put this wonderful piece together.

Schmachtenberg Bros. Germany. 1887-c1939

Sure, the main blade is broken in half, but It still shows most of the CLIM(axe) blade stamp. ;):)

I think there's some nice looking wood, once I clean the paint out of it. Cocobolo, maybe.
