Northshore my friend,

I didn't realize how bad the pictures I posted originally were, the stag needed to be seen in a better light:

Maybe "No finer Jackknife" is accurate lol

The Stag they used was extremely nice on these Knives! :), You have a very nice example there my friend!

Getting very close to the adored early "Black Stag" used a lot on the earlier English Knives

On these ones the Stag is extremely similar in shape and texture - especially on the Pile sides.

What a beauty, you would have to place this beauty in Charlies Elusive Schrade Thread! You are so right - the quality of the build is remarkable on these smaller Knives! What a great example - I havent seen a Shield with Lane Baskets before! :)

Do you know by chance what lane baskets was? I assume it was a company, but can’t find anything on it

Thats a big Beauty isnt it Augie!
My friend you are right - it sure does look like the same stuff doesnt it- and it must be- having the Camillus Spiral Punch etc

That one you picked up before me Augie, Its first auction ended, then when it was up again the seller notified me and when I got back to it- it was gone - 😂 so well done my friend!

Where do you guys find these awesome knives????

Every antique store around me only has knives that are basically destroyed.
My experience is closer to yours - I have found some decent older knives at fairly reasonable prices in a couple of pawn shops, but nothing like these beauties. I wish I knew where to find knives like these, too!
