"Old Knives"

A bit of an Old Ugly wee Beast here, but... when I look at the Bone- I really like it- there's lots going on- and the colour of the Bone is Great!

Used but not abused, I bought the Knife for the Stamping, not for the hope that it would be an elusive Sears Stamp for Sears & Roebuck, but I want to find out more about it- so it goes in line with ALL the other Knives I purchased for the "I'm going to really look into that one day" box/es.

STAYSHARP Cut Co. is the Tang Stamp.... Sta sharp being the Sears owned Brand name for some of the Camillus Knives SFO'd for Sears, I just found it really interesting.
The close up photo makes the Tang Stamp look individually struck and all up the Creek- but in fact it's not- weird...I wasn't having a good photo day that day.

The fool that I am thought I may as well pick up this grand Ol worn Fox Cutlery Pick Bone that's near Smooth Bone now :), very very worn blade and Punch- yet I still couldn't let it go by, I have a couple of very nice examples of Fox Cutlery HJ's, I thought it would be nice to place alongside this tired Old Knife- that still has a few fights left in it!

Hello my friend.
I love that bone too Duncan. True collectors aren't all crows. :)

J.C.Higgins, another Sears Knife with all the bits and pieces- after being used a fair bit - I guess I am lucky the complete package is still all there!

I hunted some as a boy with a J C Higgins pump shotgun and Daddy had a .22 J C Higgins pistol. Mommy shopped Sears and J C Penny.

Great stuff, Duncan, I have a J. C. Higgins 30-06 bolt action rifle that I've taken several whitetails with. That looks like a Schrade sheath to me.
I am fortunate enough to have a late 1950s Robeson "fluted edge" complete with sheath and box, a similar age to your fixed blade, I'd say.

Great group of harness jacks Duncan.

Hey Charlie! 😊

No Sir - I had a bad light day as I haven’t had time (since we shifted in to our Home) to find a good photo spot.
Black paper on a deck that has a Pagoda Roof. 😊👍
A couple of the HJ’s are fairly nice- although used- The Robeson and the N.Y

Thank you my friends on the kind comments on the Higgins - DirtDawg, Lyle and Jeff.
Nice to hear the name brought back these neat memories!!
Yes Jeff it’s a Schrade H-15 my friend.
Thank you Augie 😊👍

Duncan, I don't see any ugly at all when I look at that Staysharp jack. I see an old knife that was well used, not abused. The J.C. Higgins is a very nice complete package. Also a very nice batch of harness jacks.
Nice Robeson fixed blade, Jeff. Great to have the sheath and box.
