Here is my LF&C

Posted yesterday a couple pics of my three older knives. Today I was able to get some close shots of the Schrade Walden 708Y. The catalog says the scales are delrin, but with the shrinkage I am wondering if they are celluloid.

Not only the bone, but the proportions of that knife are just right. Despite sharpening, that blade is wonderfully broad. Equal End is a pattern that merits more attention in my view.

All the best, Will

Nice Remington ( once again  :) ) Jason, lovely Bone on that ol' girl, I agree totally with what Will said, Jacks are just awesome!

Doug, definitely Celluloid my friend, there has been quite a few threads on this type of scale material, and there is some shocking facts...make sure you keep your Cell's away from your other nice knives

I've posted elsewhere about this A.W. Wadsworth & Son sleeveboard pen knife I recently acquired from Jake, but thought I would put it here too, for two reasons. First, it is my oldest knife, having been made sometime before the factory was shut down by the Nazi party in 1936. Second, the french ivory scales are similar to those of the LF&C posted at the top of the page by Vanguard

First shot shows it next to the yellow celluloid Schrade 708Y, which was formerly my oldest knife.

Second shot shows the remarkable craftsmanship that enables this two blade/one spring Wadsworth to be only slightly wider than 1/4"

Doug, I have to agree with you about the craftsmanship on this knife. Excellent blade mechanics --as if it left the factory days ago instead of over 70 years ago! I'm happy to see you enjoying the knife.

Here's an old Schrade Cut Co. Tear Drop Jack. Has some really
nice Peachseed jigged bone, Excellent walk and talk. Just a
good old knife...imho.

Not sure what it is about this knife, but I absolutely love it. Everything about it just sings to me. You are a very lucky guy :)

Here's a couple pretty rare knives, a Hammer Brand Cattleman pattern NOS and a Schrade Cut Co Equal End Jack!

I would recognize that style of photography anywhere...but you gained about a 4 count on your handle, Perry!!:D

Nice pics and thanks for sharing. You have me wondering about some of the makes and models. Love the first one in post 3575

Here are some more I picked up yesterday (at antique stores)

First is a John Primble Belknap...payed 3 bucks because it was a little rusty.

Next is this silver fruit knife...I have never owned one so I picked it up. Looks like it was made by Gorham in the 1800's

Another one I bought was this Imperial pin up girl knife. Interesting piece for only 5 dollars. I might get rid of some of the rust...we will see.

Finally, is this Imperial WW2 EZ-Open knife. Payed 20 bucks.
