I don't recall a lot of old cotton samplers posted in this thread, so here is a Keen Kutter I just purchased. I have also posted it in the Keen Kutter thread.

Great knife Dan, probably don't see I lot of them because as far as I know survivors are quite rare, looks to be in good shape.

I agree with John and Mike, Dan, you just don't see em in the wild and no where as nice as that one

I can't make out the tang stamp, is a Simmons or Shapleigh?

Thanks Augie, Mike and Paul for the comments, and for the likes. Paul, it is a Simmons. According to Sellens, it was not in the catalogs after 1929.

Really impressed with this Forged USA equal end 4 blade cattle knife. I believe it was Camillus made, no evidence of a Sears trademark acid etch on the main clip point and it's unused so I don't know that there ever was one.

Anyone able to provide any additional input?

Camillus for Sears. Very late 1930s. Rogers Bone Company covers.

Here's a 2318 3/4, 4" Texas Jack from the Schrade Cut Co era!! It's in the 1926 catalog. I like this configuration, and the rich, brown, pre-peachseed jigged bone!!

Here somewhat different cattle knife configuration. Blish Mize & Silliman. The bone here has great color.

I really don't know, I haven't seen this configuration before. I can see resemblance in the covers to those of Charlie Schrade (maybe)

Cattle knife, equal end. Both can be the same thing but can also be different.

An equal end jack is not a cattle knife, but a cattle knife is usually an equal end. There are many variations of both.
