Thanks Charlie:thumbsup:, It made a guest appearance in the Guardians thread, threw in a 3.5" lambsfoot for size comparison.

Thanks Rachael and Dan:thumbsup: appreciate the compliments

This can not compare to rockman0 rockman0 's ( Rob ) Thomas Turner Lambfoot but anyhow : Just found this Dixon in a shop yesterday for less than $20 .
The history of the DIXON CUTLERY CO. is a little sketchy I think . The Tang Stamp on this one is , to the best that I can read it ; DIXON over CUTLERY CO
over CEONY and the CEONY is really not for sure . The C could be a G and the O could be a C . I would expect that Kastor was involved in it somehow . I would hope that Charlie waynorth waynorth and Lisle , or anyone else , could help out with this style of what I perceive to be a Farmers Knife .
The covers are wood , the liners are steel , the blades are all tight . There are some gaps between the Covers and Liners . The Shield is BRASS . Blades have little use and are sharp . Some damage has been done to the covers by whoever originally cleaned up the knife .
Pardon the low quality of pictures .

Interesting knife!! A mystery for sure , Harry. The name DIXON can be associated with the U.S.A, Germany and Sheffield. Could the NY at the end of the stamp be the state of NY?? That knife is not really a farmer's knife as we know them. It has an unusual hawkbill, very small!o_O
Someone has to get a clarifying software that will enhance worn tang stamps!!

Thanks Charlie for your input . I originally thought that the NY was for New York , but there is no space before the N . The small Hawkbill is not a modified blade . Of that I am sure . The Nail Nicks positions and the space in the blade well for the Pen Blade all say that the blade came like that when new .
