"Old Knives"

OK, all you cats in the swamps- I can help. We are high and dry here in the Rocky Mountain prairie front. We don't have to use oil on ANYTHING except to lubricate. So... send them along.... They will be safe here.

haha - uuuummm yeah ok Cal I’ll do just that! I will just get you to pay for shipping - and that’s gonna be REEEEAL expensive :D:D

Oh Man!!!!! Charlie..... simply a quartet to never forget, just outstanding my friend. Beautiful!

Charlie, just mind boggling knives to me :eek: you never cease to amaze me with the knives you share with us, love em all!!:thumbsup:

Not as old as those discussed Seax knives, but made some time between WWI and WWII, this could be the mintiest Schrade Cut. Co. I own!! A rarely seen SCC lockback English Jack! It has a Saber grind blade, a fine etch, full ink, and is 4 1/2" long!!

(Scratch marks are on my decrepit scanners glass!!)

Another English Jack - this one a liner-lock Cattaraugus, with nice rich bone handles!

Mike, Harry, Duncan, Jeff and Rob; It's great that you all appreciate those big old knives!!:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:
Imagine a time in history when their ancestors were EDCs, carried by our ancestors because pistols were not that reliable in dark corners of the world!! Now of course, a big knife in the pocket can even be useful, much better at slicing French bread than a li'l ole Barlow:D
But then, these big'uns are reigning over my safe, proud queens of history!!;)

While I appreciate the workmanship that goes into the smaller patterns, such as Orange Blossoms, there's just something about vintage jacks that I really like as well. And as we all know, jacks are especially hard to find in great condition. I agree with what Charlie and Duncan said about the responsibility (or burden?) of keeping minty knives mint.

Charlies English Jacks are simply incredible, I certainly have nothing anywhere in the neighbourhood as those beauties go, but I sure like this Big Ol' Camillus. The Blade Grind is just great, and I just love the Bone!

Drool-worthy, Lyle!!:D:thumbsup:

Charlie, you’ve got the knife museum.
Cal it’s horn, and it’s got a patch that is hard to see.
I wonder why the handles on that LF&C are not the gumfuddy stuff. Cool, you hardly see one without them.

Hey guys, some great knives shown here! Been collecting honk falls knives for a while and a friend suggested posting a few here. Here is one I really like.
