"Old Knives"

Thanks for the kind words, Paul; I might not have bid that high or maybe not at all, but I had that other Ulster and I wanted to match them up pretty badly. A year ago I spent a night in Jamestown. It never occurred to me that you were close by or we could have had a beverage and smart talk together. I was on my way to a 3 day forging class in Grand Marais, MN. Take care (Live long and prosper).

I would have enjoyed that Cal, you had to pass my town house headed east through Valley City, I'm literally 500 ft off I-94. If you pass through in the future please reach out via pm and we can meet up. A couple of years ago Harry and his wife Nancy stopped in for a nice visit:thumbsup:

Very nice HSB Cal:cool:

Two GREAT Knives there Cal.
Bonyfied Dandy is a spot on description.

Word of advice Cal, if you do pop in and visit Paul and he asks if you want to see his collection that he keeps in the Dungeon? Just say No. :D

Just acquired these 3 old knives from 2 grandparents and my dad. Colonial Ambassador Stockman, 1919-1939 Robeson, and Toledo Inox

Augie, you must have retired after winning Lotto, because you must spend longer on the computer than me- and you are raking them all up lol!

Three VERY nice additions to your fast growing collection my friend, That Pruner is outstanding- now THATS an old Pruner that tells the others "Prune Big or go Home"
Also that slightly different - but extremely nice Wharncliffe Challenge - nice to see that Knife! in fact both the Pruner and the Wharny have nice full blades!

That Clauss is something else- and yes that Green Bone is simply gorgeous, theres the "usual" Green Bone thats always very nice and then you get an example like this! I love it when Cases Green Bone has those lighter Highlights that really make the Bone show it's true colours! speaking of full blades!!! another gorgeous Knife my friend!
Still to this day when our very good Friend Mike Berkovich and I did a deal, he had a MINT Clauss HJ - and it never arrived- Mike was shattered and tried to refund me, so was I but in no way accept Mikes offer- he is as true as the day is long and its out of his hands, that gorgeous Knife is out there somewhere- I wonder how it looks now and is it being cared for?

Wonderful viewing, nice to see ribbonz Dad's and Granddad's knives- treasures those for sure!
