Hello all,

Acquired an old tackle box full of fishing stuff and this Case knife was in it wrapped up in a hanky. Does not look like it has ever been used. 9" long overall.

Is it a knife which Case made especially for fishing? Thanks in advance for your help....!

I couldn't see any other use for the 'serrations' except for scaling fish .

It's a fishing knife. In decades past, there was a wider variety of styles. I like that style very much.

That's a 0600f, one I would like to buy if you want to part with it.

Might want to bring this over to the Traditionals forum, as there would be a lot of folks there who would appreciate a nice minty piece like that, and help you out with information.

Once a common pattern with many cutlery companies. Russell Green River made them a 100+ years ago. I have one in my fishing gear that Ontario offered 40 some years ago.

Thanks guys. The tackle box belonged to a guy who was born around 1900 and did a lot of Muskie fishing in the mid-20th century.
