Old Padre's thread

All right, as promised, picture time!

Let's start with the Terrain 365 Otter Flip-AT Stag Special Edition.

As previously stated, an amazing, traditional, pocket knife with modern features.

'Hope you guys will enjoy the eye candy :)

Get yourself an OG in the BM 970 or 975. I love my 975 pe. Lock up is rock solid and it is shaving sharp and stays that way. Don't forgo Southern Grind Bad Monkey or the Spider Monkey line either, and for a cheap thrill and very high quality f.b. look at the CIVIVI M1. I bought it on a whim cause it was cheap and it is outstanding carried off side with a full size handle that disappears under my shirt. The D2 steel is heat treated as it should be. Swedged spear point for easy penetration but is utilitarian at the same time. stay safe

The Spider Monkey has been on my radar for a while now… ;) especially the Magnacut version with natural micarta handles.

— Irregular update #3

The CQC-7A arrived…

… and I must admit that I'm surprisingly smitten by it.

Now, bear in mind that I got my first and last Emerson twenty years ago.

Its blade size and handles are just about perfect with or without gloves — and this includes the unashamedly grippy G10 scales.
The fit and finish means business and doesn't make you want to baby it. It's also the first knife I ever had I have full confidence in stripping for maintenance thanks to the hardware which can be tightened/removed with common tools if not a coin should you want to re-center your blade.

'That said, take all of this with a grain of salt, I'm so nostalgic about it that I'm looking forward that my jeans rip where the pocket clip sits.

To continue the tradition, here's some eye candy with a retro look some might recognize — it's anyway seasonal. 😬

Happy holidays to everyone who takes the time to read my ramblings and look at my photographs! 🎄

Last but not least, my heartfelt thanks to Nab762 Nab762 for making this happen. 🙏🏼

A few knives went in and a lot went out.

The Half Face Blades Feather Light mentioned and pictured above is gone.

So are all my Winklers which have been replaced by a fixed blade for my kit: the McNees Knives Stalker Fixed Blade Brown G10 Handle FDE Cerakote Blade pictured below (photograph is from American Edge where I purchased it). Great fixed blade but the kydex's clip has been replaced by the usual go-to Discreet Carry Concept Mod W.

The Strider JVA is up for sale locally, and so are the two Spydercos I recently got, the dealer exclusive Delica 4 in Cru-Wear and the Para 3 in Cru-Wear and brown micarta handles. Great little knives but… nah.

Upcoming is the long-awaited ATCF Original Gangster in OD Green Micarta which is a Fox Knives Ltd Edition.
Probably way too big, I couldn't pass-up given that I always wanted an ACTF and given its price, specs and looks… I took the plunge.

More on this piece sooner rather than later ;)

Ta-da!

P.S. Almost forgot, I got my hands on a Wolf Forty Designs - SEAF Jr — excellent backup blade which is worth the hype at retail IMHO.
