I love these old carbon steel (1095 i guess) USA made Kitchen knives.Im always buying them at the flea market and my friends bring them to me smiling because they know i will buy them.Problem is,i have a drawer full i use and the wife refuses to allow any more in the kitchen. She thinks they're ugly if you can imagine.
To me,they are lovely and cut meat and veggies like hot butter. Here are a couple of beauties im offering up.One a 11 1/2" 7" blade Frontier Forge brand. It has the skinner style tip.The other is a 12 3/4" 8 1/4" Forgecraft brand. Both of these i have reground the bevels, ground the sharp edges off the handles and treated them with teak oil.The edges on both are shave sharp and polished.Yes ,there are some pits on the Forgecraft, but nothing that will hurt performance.Keep a little canola or veggie oil on them and they will last longer than we will for sure. These work great in the kitchen or shop, also great camp or deer lease cutters.I would be happy to get $30.00 shipped for both these old boys or make me an offer.
