I left my RAT model 1 at home today to carry my Case 6254 trapper. I like to pair this with the Scrade Deerslayer, but since i work in an office i usually carry my BK11 w/ it. Anyway, let's see your old school combos. I hate to say it but i do not own an axe (yet). Post em up.

Hi all,

Here is my old school looking knife and hatchet:D.

101_1282.jpg

The axe is a S & N that I got from Brian Andrews. The knife is my version of a small light weight, high scandi grind, woods bumming knife that I made. I took it from the forge and and then put the high scandi grind in it and put bocote wood scales on it.

I carry them on the strap of my shoulder bag that I carry while out woods bumming.

Hi all,

coaldigger, thanks. I am liking that little knife. My nephew is wanting to get one made up to. Will see LOL. Even thought he is taller than me he still looks up to me and the way I do things in the woods bumming stuff. He had to try out his new axe that he got and I wanted to try out me new one to. I have 3 to his one but I think he will want to get a 17" er to in time. To carry on his shoulder kit to. I have been switching out every other day or so with my pathfinder with the orange handle. they have the same blade and handle lengths. some days I even just take both when I head out for a walk throught the timber with Kelly girl. I think a knife for each hand seems resnable LOL.

kathy said she did not like it:eek:. But she has not used it yet so maybe she will change her mind yet. Well UPS guy came yesterday and brought 2 more axes. My nephew wanted a 24" and I wanted a another 17"er. We took them out and used them to get some fire wood chopped up for the fire we had and then took a pic of the 4 axes and the scandi knife I made up. Here is the pic of the axes, the knife and the fire we had.

We had a good time and really got a bunch of logs cut up. Kory is really turning out to be a good axe man. I tell him that to, and then I tell him that he had a pretty good teacher too LOL. Like a good boy he says yea with a smile.

Well take care all, I hope some more of you post some pics of your old school looking cutting tools even if they are new LOL, but look like a old style cutters.
