Oldest school thing I have is my Alidade which is a fine instrument, just a bit outdated since everything is lasers now. My original Brunton Compass/pocket transit (50's production) is pretty old school too. It was given to me by my first boss.
Leghog, nice that you keep the skillet in good shape !!
In my kitchen is a 30" x 2.5" rolling pin .Not used very often but ready at all times . It was my Grandmother's [ who was gone before I arrived ] and she and I have made many a pasta meal with it !!!
My Grandmother used a rolling pin like that. It didnt pass down to my mother. When she taught me to make noodles and strudel, she described it to me. I got hold of a stick of birds eye maple. Cut into four pieces. Turned them into four rolling pins, 30 by 3. That was over thirty years ago. I still have one. Its the best rolling pin for strudel and noodles. One went to a friend. Two more are in the family. Mom is gone now; the one she owned has passed to my niece. To her, it really is Grandmothers rolling pin.
Its part of the game to post pictures. Sorry about that.
