Leatherman Skeletool, 1st Edition
1st Edition with PLAIN EDGE knife

I'm the original owner and bought it around 2007 or so. The Skeletool is one of the most popular Leatherman multi tools because of its compact size, light weight, and only having the most essential tools. No fluff, no fat. Oh yeah, and it has a pocket clip. The unique thing about the 1st Edition is that the knife (blade steel 420HC) has a plain edge making it something of a collector's item. After the 1st Edition, the original Skeletool was only available with a partially serrated blade. If you wanted a plain edge knife, you had to get a Skeletool CX. I haven't used or carried it in about the last 10 years. Never abused, always well maintained. There aren't any significant dings or scratches whatsoever. The blade is in excellent condition. There are no nicks, chips or rolls on the edge. The finish on the bits is worn, but the bits themselves have NOT seen any extensive use at all. All the edges are sharp and not rounded or misshapen. The only thing I can think of is that the finish got worn when the bits were changed out and stored back in the handles. It's a snug, metal to metal fit. There's some minor surface rust/corrosion in a couple of spots. I made a cursory attempt to remove them with some Flitz, but they are in hard to get at nooks and crannies. I'll let the next owner take care of it. Every tool and feature works perfectly. Zero functional issues.
