WOW Augie fantastic find I would have to be like the Insurance Commercial on that one and break into my happy dance. :D

John I missed this bh Jack you posted a photo of and just found it when I took a closer look at recent threads. Very nice photo of a beautiful Schrade Cut Jack. I love Schrades and I have an EO Jack with this same kind of jigged bone. Thanks for sharing a picture of this beauty--much appreciated!! Lloyd

Hope everyone had a good holiday weekend. Did my usual auction and flea market searches and managed to add a few old knives to the collection.

Found this Schrade bone barehead jack, pretty nice condition being pre 1946 if I'm reading the tang stamp charts correctly. Beautiful bone, great color with little wear. Blades are full but have the usual sharpening scratches from poor sharpening.

A few pics, last one with Lyle's Lick Creek Boys knife again for comparison, the Schrade is larger, of course Lyle's is better because it has the etch:D

Wow, Just......... simply.......outstanding.

That's a gorgeous knife Augie - nice score!

Thank you Lloyd, Thank you Duncan, both of you don't do too shabby in vintage knife collecting yourselves, you've posted some beauties.

Thanks all who have commented on this knife, great to see the appreciation for these old knives.

Saw this earlier in the week, but apparently forgot to post my congratulations, Augie! As most have noted, the jigging is sensational!!

Nice old knife John,I like the comparison. I thought I remarked here before, but I must have been somewhere else. grin'n

I know I've already posted but I keep coming back to admire that jigging, color, and condition. I'd say you found your 2016 gift from the Knife Fairy.

Thank you Joe, I was just Coon fingering it again yesterday, the color and texture of the bone still amazes me.

Great find! The comparison pics are excellent as well. Its very cool to see the history and skill of yesterday carried on through today.

I thought of this folder when I saw your Schrade posted here. The bone handle jigging style and color on this NYKC Hammer Brand EO Jack was worth posting, I thought, to compare with your Schrade Jack. Very similar I venture to say. They use the same jigging machine/equipment? Lloyd

Beautiful knife Lloyd, the color and jigging are pretty close, I wonder if they had the same jigging machine or bought jigged bone from the same supplier.
