I prefer the old boxes as well since they are a bit tougher and simpler to use with tools , parts etc.

I noticed Bear Claws new 2016 21 has the old style box as well . Great knife btw. Is this the new standard for all the knives?
I'm sorry if this has been covered.

I got a small 21 Insingo that was just built a few weeks ago and it has the newer style box. On the other hand I got a Large Inkosi and that has the old style box. Maybe they are in the process of switching over or something?

The older boxes rock! Didn't really care for the newer ones because it was always a pain to slide the styrofoam, cloth, papers etc back into the box! After two or three times of opening the newer boxes, they get torn pretty easily.

I liked the old style (Gen2?) plain white box . That is the one that is priority flat rate friendly-the originals weren't. Other than shipping the originals were fine also.

I figured as much. I don't have many knives so I like to keep the boxes for tools, lube , local tite etc. And the darn flaps on my box are starting to fall apart lol. It doesnt bother me one bit as I will never sell it . But I appreciate the birth card and what not. So the old box would be better for me.
CRK products are so amazing ,all I can really complain about is the box. That's a first.

+1 on this for me, too.

Much prefer the old style box, but the change wasn't a problem for me since all I own(or ever will on) are Regular's and Classic's.

My money says that we are about to see a change in boxes. :D. Maybe not the old white boxes we love, but similar....

From what my favorite off-line dealer told me, the old style box is back.
:)

Now we can try to acquire some new-style ( I mean old-style)... ahhh forget that. ;)

Old style boxes where just that a white cardboard box, they put the knife in, a few stickers on it and voila you got a CRK box.
New boxes where specially designed fitted with a foam inset that holds the knife an the accessories.
The boxes where printed with logo and the like and had a tight fit.
Collectors found it difficult to open and close the thing without denting it or even ripping it.
While it was a move to give the product a "better" home, for some it meant "losing focus".

I could not say it better even in italian :D

Could be strange but I let go some beautiful CRK only because I didn't like this type of box

I really think the ideal box would be like this except just a little wider, so the birthcard could lay flat.
