Old style Lochsa

Scott Cook Lochsa, numbered #7. Used to be owned by a quite well known knifemaker from Hawaii.
Now it's in my pocket and I love it. Check out the old style pivot (AKA ugly pivot). Not as beautiful as the new one but a simple hex key does the job.

I like the old pivot style better, the new one draws your eye to it. IMO the pivot should not be the first thing you see on a folder. The old style has a nice smooth look, that matches the over all styling of the knife.

Why in the world does he scratch his name on them There are better ways to mark the knife IMHO.
