old timer 80t mystery.....

I'm very happy with it. I had not come across a usa shrade befor it and for $6 in near perfect condition I was a happy camper :D
 
For $6 you should be an ecstatic camper unable to sleep! Great find and congratulations. Any old Schrade or Schrade Walden is a great find. Even if the one blade is stainless, it should sharpen up nicely and make an excellent EDC. I had an 881Y that I just gifted to someone that was bought in the late 50's or early 60's that have been cleaned up to where the blades are quite shinny, with no patina on them at all. Excellent knives in my opinion.

I am! I have always loved the look of the old timer handles and am loving thier steel, just picked up a 330t on that big auction site usa made of course very excited! :D

I have one from 2001 that has carbon clip and stainless Spey and stainless steel sheep foot. I always found it to be a unique curiosity and never have gotten to the bottom of the mystery. its my EDC for 10 years, still still tight as a pickle jar and and will cut the hair of a tics behind👍
