The 51OT is the Big Timer LB (lockback). Schrade went out of business in 2004, I don't know offhand when they last made that model though. Perhaps a search of the forum for "51OT" would give you more info.

As far as buying more, about the only place you'll find USA-made Schrade Old Timers for sale is eBay. I should warn you though, that model isn't very common and the generally sell at quite a premium, especially for NIB examples.

Good Luck!

Your Dad's 51OT was produced between 1978 and 1981. Rugged little knife, nicknamed the Bulldog for good reason. You do see these on Ebay once in a while, going for around $65 used.

G'Day, I believe the Scrimshaw equivalent of the 51OT is the SC504. I just purchased Mint SC 504 Item #250076655546 on Ebay. I presume the manufacture date is similar 1978-1981. It has 2 Stags Fighting. At $91 in stated new condition I thought that was most reasonable. Codger posted photos of my 2 X 51OT's recently.I reckon these Bulldog "Sunfish" style Old Timers are amongst the most beautiful ever produced for some strange reason and they feel magnificent in the hand. The official title was "Big Timer" and was officially called a 'pocket knife.' You must have big pockets in the U.S.!! Hoo Roo
