Is it true that old version with satin blade and all black handle were made from 440C?

Good question because I have one also.

I am pretty sure it was 425...

The Night Hawk was only made in 420Hc as the material used to come from Allegeheny Ludlum, they were one of the only ones that could roll this thick of steel .265 in the U.S. in a High Carbon martensitic steel
