Some Busse and Swamp Rat knives for your consideration....
The first person to post I'll take it without contingencies and a follow up e-mail will receive purchasing priority.
Please ask any questions prior to making a purchase commitment. My top priority is a hassle free transaction. I'll be more than happy to provide additional / higher resolution photos and discuss questions via PM, e-mail, or over the phone. I've done my best to accurately describe the condition of the knives I'm offering for sale, but there's always the issue of process variation and manufacturing tolerances inherent to this type of product so please inquire if there are issues of particular importance to you.
I will accept payment via USPS Money Order, or PayPal ("Purchase" type only, I will not accept PayPal Gift) with a confirmed address per the pricing listed. That being said, please be aware that if you have less then 5 positives as a buyer on itrader (or any negatives) I will prefer a US postal money order. I will ship via USPS w/signature confirmation and provide insurance to CONUS only.
I'm not interested in any trades at this time.
I reserve the right to not do business with any individual without explanation. All sales are as is, where is and without warranty (except as provided by the manufacturer). All sales are final. By purchasing this item you are stating that you are 18 years of age or older and abiding by all local, state and federal laws concerning the purchase, transportation and possession of this item.
Busse Custom Shop Desert Anorexic Badger Attack (DABA): I purchased this knife from Blade Art in 2006. The knife is new, as received from the factory. It has not been used, sharpened, or inserted in a sheath. Polished spine, Rope style micarta handle and a blade thickness of .159 on my calipers. The coating is about as good as it gets for this older style. I don't see any chips or scratches, but there is also a small spot in the choil area on the spine. I believe it's a finish issue, a missed spot in essence. I'm not prone to talking up a knife I'm selling, but in my opinion this one is about as nice an example of a classic Busse as one is likely to find. $550 USPS MO / $570 PayPal
Busse EU17 #4: Here is some information on the EU17: The Mil. Over Run EU17 series was offered August 18, 2004 during the Beer Chat. Here's what Jerry had to say about these knives in a few different forum posts: There are only 38 pieces in this ONE TIME OFFER! And they will be serial numbered.... This particular knife was designed from a boat load of input from the units that carry it. It is unusual in so far as we have never made this shape handle on any other blade before.... You guys are gonna love these blades. . . The handles rock and really offer exceptional control.... The 7" Blade length falls right in between the SHE and the NOE . . .. Long clipped point for excellent thrusting. . . topside finger grooves for upside down gripping and rearward palm swell for aid in chopping and extending reach. . . . Fatter than 1/4". . . Thinner than 5/16" . . .. Full height grind. . . . .Great chopper, slicer, slasher, thruster, . . . etc....
This knife has a black canvas micarta handle and desert tan coating. I purchased this knife from a fellow forum member who described it as follows: Mint condition.... has aluminum tube fasteners and black micarta which is one of a kind on EUs. I believe the description of the knife's condition is accurate. It's pretty clear the knife has not been used sharpened, or inserted in a sheath. I've not verified the accuracy of the one of a kind claim on the black micarta handle and aluminum fasteners, but I've never seen another EU with anything but tan canvas micarta and brass fasteners. $675 USPS MO / $699 PayPal
Busse Mini EU17 #17 (That's right, EU17 #17!): Here is some information on the EU series:

The Magnum EU17 with a 9.5 blade was offered later in 2004 (October 31st I believe). Here's what Jerry posted about it's release: Here it is boys!!!! The Magnum EU17 offer!!!!.... There are only 28 pieces available in this ONE TIME OFFER!. They will serial numbered.... This particular knife is a longer version of the EU17 and like the regular EU17 we do not have permission to give out any info about the teams that carry these.
The Mini EU17 was expected immediately after the Magnum as noted in this October 30, 2004 post by Jerry on the release of the Magnums: We will be posting the "GO" button here and on our website forum.... These should go pretty fast, I believe that there are only around 28 of these available. . . I will get an exact number for you tomorrow.... Look for the start of the action around 9:00 or 10:00 pm EST.... We might have the "Mini EU-17s" for you tomorrow night as well. . . not sure yet. We have VERY VERY few of those, certainly not enough to make a special offer of their own. However, they weren't released until two weeks later
, May 2, 2005. Here's what Jerry had to say in a post on April 29, 2004: The Mini EU-17 sports a 6 inch blade of INFI and simply floats in your hand! ! ! The Mini completes the trilogy of EU-17 models and just begs for a good old fashioned whoopin'!!!

Busse Custom Shop Anniversary Steel Heart 1 (ASH1): Magnum Sage / Tan Hand Shaped G-10 Handle, Satin Blade that came unmarked (sterile) from the factory. This knife is new as received from the factory. It's not been used, sharpened, or inserted in a sheath. This knife originally sold for $627 plus shipping. I'm offering it for less then the factory price shipped to your door. $575 USPS MO / $595 PayPal
Swamp Rat Howling Rat: This knife is new, as received from the factory. It has not been used, sharpened, or inserted in a sheath. This knife includes the factory sheath shown in the final two photographs: $140 USPS MO / $145 PayPal SOLD

In response to a question on additional Howling Fats being offered, Eric Isaacson posted this on the forum in September 2006 The Howling Fat was a special run that will not be offered again. The knife has a 9 OAL and a 4.5 SR101 blade that is .25 thick. The thickness of this knife compared to the Howling Rat can be seen in the spline photo below. I purchased this knife from a fellow forum member in new condition. I have not been used, sharpened, or inserted it in a sheath. $220 USPS MO / $225 PayPal
