Welcome puertorican1976!,
What you have there is a Mk III variant khukuri.
It is an Indian khukuri.
I would venture that it is no more that 20 yrs old, if even that old.
It is still being produced today by various companies in India, most notably Windlass Steelcraft and sold thru Atlanta Cutlery.
This type of khukuri varies in workmanship from decent to really bad. Some of them have decent heat treat and some of them not. Getting a good user seems to not be the norm on these, even from reputable distributors.
This is also the kind of khukuri most often used in faking WWI & WWII military khukuri, some fakes being known as far back as 3 generations.
Some of them make decent users with a little handle modification. The only way to know if you have a good user is to chop with it to see if the edge holds up without chipping out.
As this is not a Himalayan Imports Khukuri i must move it to the Cantina.
