Older, rare Spydercos: Pro-Venator and Civilian with Sal Glesser letter..

Both knives were in private collection, never used or carried, still in mint condition but with some edging marks. For were handled and plaied with


1. Pro-Venator.

One of the older versions, if you remember these were wrapped in foil at the Spyderco factory
Comes with the original box and Spyderco zipper pouch.
Made in Japan, VG-2 steel. Partially serrated.

2. Civilian. Made in Japan, second generation with coating on the handle (?)

Fully serrated, great shape, only Spyderco zipper pouch, no box.
I think this is a second-generation, very interesting model.
Comes with a letter from Spyderco's CEO at that time - Sal Glesser. Cheesy but fun to have artifact

I do not know! But do remember a few brand new Spyderco many, many years ago were wrapped in the foil! But I do not know the reason That is a good question for the Spyderco forum.
