Oldest knife you own

I've had a Buck 119 I've owned since the late 90s. Not really sure why it hasn't left my collection; I guess it's common enough that no one wants mine, and it's good enough I have no desire to get rid of it.

Wish I had a picture of the sheath though. It's been through years of "sharpness" tests when I didn't have any paper, looks like a bunch of scallopes cut out of the leather.

The oldest knife I own is a WW2 bayonet used by the German Police. It looks like this:

The oldest I own? No idea. I have a bunch that I have no date of manufacture for, some that date back to the period between WWI and WWII and a few that predate that. The one I've had longest is a little Tuxedo Pen that I've had since around 1964.

My parents gave me the first GOOD knife in 1966, when I was 13..., a Puma Skinner. The first one I bought, in 1969, was a Gerber Magnum.

I also have a Puma Skinner. Very comfortable knife, I love it.

Thread title FAIL.

The oldest knife I own is a well used fixed blade i inherited from my gandfather.

The one I have had the longest.....Spyderco Delica3 VG-10 full serrated.

Um fail? We could always try reading whats inside the thread.

My oldest knife is a pearl handled lobster pattern with manicure tools a tooth pick and an ear pick used to clean out your ears, it was hand made in one of the eastern communist block countries around the late 1800.

I'll have to take a pic and post it.

I have about 25-30 knives between the early 1900s-1930s a lot between the 40s and 60s roundin' out the 70s till present with about a 1/3 of my collection.

My oldest is small stag handle Jimmy Lile folder I bought from the "Arkansas Knifesmith" himself back in 1975 at Gun Show in Dallas. Carried it every day for about 25 years until I started working other knives in my edc. The stag has worn a little thin but the knife stll locks up like a vault after 35 years. I'd say the $125 bucks I paid for it back in '75 was a pretty good investment. :D

This Blackton Cutom is the oldest knife I purchased and used and still own today. I bought this knife from the man himself (Andrew Blackton) at a 1980 Safari Club Int. event here in Detroit. It was my very first purchase with a Credit Card I had ever made. I paid $275.00 new for the knife. It still gets used today by my son who won''t go in the woods without it...;)

Looking at the edge there, looks like it's been seeing lots of use and sharpening:)

Thanks and yes, 30 years of use and 32 some odd whitetails and wild boars as marked on the scales. My son has used it to dress out several animals but won't add to the count. He feels the original number is sacred or something? Heck I can't count the amount of use my friends got out of it over the years? The maker A. Blackton was a Class A Gentleman. Talked with him many times over the phone through the years and even just before he passed away. I always think of him when I use that knife. The night I purchased it in 1980 I wasn't looking to buy an expensive knife but after an hour and half of just shootin the breeze with Mr. Blackton about this and that I was enamored by him and his stories and demeanor. I was just 20 years old then. So I bought the knife and took the grief from my then first wife and the rest is history... So to speak. ;)

Wow, Babakanoosh, that is beautiful knife that has seen alot. Thanks for sharing :)

I carried this Puma all over Europe for 4 years back in the early 80's. It's still my favorite "picnic" knife. I have a Gerber folder around somewhere that I've had maybe as long; it's a Silver Knight. The oldest still in the family is a Case fixed blade I bought when I was in Boy Scouts, which would be close on 40 years ago. I remember my mom being really upset because I had this big 'ol blade. My grandfather calmed her down pretty good (he was an old Montana cowboy); he told her, "the ki'll cut himself more with his pocket knife, 'cause he'll never tote that big thing around with him everywhere." How right he was. I've worn out a pile of Uncle Henry 3 blade pocket knives, but that Case still looks fairly new.
