OMG This CS XL Espada!

CEO here - I own Tactical Edge Knives and yes we have a very good price on all three as a set or separate. I agree these are quite impressive - the Cold Steel Rajah l or the Black Rhino are good choices as well. I have big hands so these knives a fun to "play" with. it is my pockets that are too small. I would like a cordura type pouch that I could lash to some webing or belt/back pack. Merry Christmas to all of you good knife folks.

That knife is bloody massive! Care to post a review? I'd like to see how it does with a fixed-blade's work (chopping, batoning, etc)

In this photo:

- At the bottom is my Randall 1-7, 7 inch blade.

- The CG Fusion Battle Mistress. Nuff said.

- The CS XL Espada. Yep...you get the picture.

The best part is that it's not a "joke" knife. It's a truly functional piece.

Susmaryosep!

I knew it was big, but not that big!

Wongki, not planning to use it as a camp knife, so I won't put it through that. That said, check the YouTube vids, and you'll see how well it chops. I was shocked, truthfully.

Untamed, yeah bro. A Pinoy knife-lover's dream.

The XL Espada does make everything look smaller in comparison.
It is wickedly sharp out of the box and the lock is solid as can be.
It does fit in the front jean pocket, but don't expect to put anything else in that pocket.
I love mine, but it's too big for EDC, unless you happen to be going where you can't carry a gun and it's dangerous enough to.

I really like what Demko has brought to CS in General, though I'm not a big fan of this particular design. For one, I don't have any clue on the fighting methodology of the Navajas and two, I don't think I would carry a folder that large. I still the the design is pretty cool, just not for me.

The espada xl is just great. Do you have any trouble getting the lock undone? it's pretty stiff.

Wow that thing is gigantic. Personally, seems more trouble than it's worth though. In more ways than one.

Recently got a good deal on a Large Espada and it is quite large already. I never carry less than 4" folders, but not only is this one 5.5", it's also quite wide, too wide in fact to comfortably carry in the pocket using the clip. So I'm having a sheath designed around it to belt-carry it and still use the wave.
It feels light, it's a beautiful design and the blade is just outrageously shaped, it intimidates.
I'd love to handle the XL, but then I'm a sucker for outrageous blades. ;)

How does this 19th century french navaja grab you

This is the General Knife Discussion. Please discuss the knives, not the other members. Constantly complaining about other people's opinions only distracts from the topic, and may even stir up the behavior you're opposing.

This man does his job...VERY well.

Yep, big thumbs up to Esav.

As for your knives, 4 Ranges... very cool. I have Randalls and Busses, and to see the xl lined up with them like that is really impressive. Cold Steel puts out good stuff, and Demko is a great designer. If the Recon 1 had a thumb plate, I'd buy one in a heartbeat.
