Got a call around 1:00 today from hubby's employer that I needed to meet Chuck (G19G26) at the Emergency Room! WTF ??

He is an electrical engineer at a manufacturing facility, and whilst looking for a short in a machine, he took quite an ELECTRIC SHOCK. He said it went up right arm, across chest & down left arm. Nasty taste in the mouth and all over feeling of just not feeling right. He tried to keep working for about 30 mins and realized he wasn't going to shake it. He went to his first aid rep & they called the EMT's. EMT's didn't like the looks of his EKG, so he got to ride in the ambulance to the hospital!

I got to the hospital just as the ambulance arrived. The doctor ordered some blood tests & more EKG's and X-rays. Everything seemed pretty much OK, but since Chuck has a cardiac history anyway, they wanted to keep him overnight to monitor his heartbeat. Also, with the "electrical" issue that Chuck already has, and the PVC's, they felt this would be better than sending him home. I totally agree, but he's not happy about staying the night!

Please send smoke, prayers.... whatever ya got in Chuck's direction.

I'm on my way back up to the hospital for a bit. I'll check back in later.

Thanks, BUSSE family!

Wish him our best! Hopefully it won't turn out to be an issue.

Prayers an smoke sent ,,,,,,,,,, he's in the best place to be in his situation,,,,,although I would be just like him,,,,, *GET ME OUTA HERE* ,,,,,, even though being there overnight is the safe thing

Smoke going up and Scotch going down for you and Chuck.

Maybe you should bring him a tan/tan to keep him company in the hospital. That might calm him down a bit. :) INFI has amazing properties. :D

Man...it's been a rough year for you guys. I sincerely hope that this ends up as nothing more than a "shock" and that it all gets better from here. Remember Job, sister, and tell Chuck there's smoke up from Miami.

What a way to spend post 501.:grumpy:

Tell him do-it-yourself cardioversion is not a good idea....:eek::eek:

Hope he's well kiddo...

Was he wearng appropriate protection???

Smoke and Prayers, y'all have BBQ!!!

I agree w/ thatmguy though in that, "Tell him do-it-yourself cardioversion is not a good idea...."
