OMG - What a SHOCK!!!

I was really surprised about how serious the docs & nurses treated the "shock"!

Even a minor shock from 110V AC can cause rhythm problems. It has a lot to do with the 60 Hz and how that interacts with our bodies.

Best of luck to Chuck.

He is an electrical engineer at a manufacturing facility, and whilst looking for a short in a machine, he took quite an ELECTRIC SHOCK. He said it went up right arm, across chest & down left arm.

Tell him to wear rubber soled shoes, and keep one hand in his pocket when fishing around in stuff.

Had a couple of good wallops in my time from electricity (I'm a determined amateur!) - the funny feeling usually subsides after a day or so but it is worrying while it lasts. RF burns aren't too nice either. Can't be too careful though - hospital is the best place for a night.

You're both in my thoughts and prayers as always - take good care!

Just saw this Barb. Prayers sent and I am 60 minutes away if you two need anything!

Now you're scaring me! As a lab physicist, I've worked around electricity all my life. I've had my share of little jolts .... :o

Hope Chuck will be OK. He clearly passed the first hurdle, surviving the prompt effects. I'm hoping the lingering effects on nerves and connective tissue turn out to be minor and even just go away.

Smoke and prayers going up from Virginia.

Brought Chuck home about 2:00 this afternoon. He seems to be doing OK. They did blood work & EKG's every 4 hours at the hospital. They did an echocardiogram this morning. Said everything looks OK. He will be off work until Monday. We sure could have done without the additional financial strain, but I am so thankful that he is OK & home now. The girls (our 3 dogs) sure missed him. They seem to know something is wrong.

Thanks to everyone for the prayers & well wishes.

GREAT NEWS ,,,, the smoke got him home,,,,an the ongoing prayers will heal him,,,,, be safe......
