Has anyone here had experience with Horan Knives? I was reading about the Omni-boos and after looking at it, I think it looks like a great camp/skills blade. Just wanted to see if anyone else had checked it out.

No experience with that one. looks like a good, simple blade design. Not a big fan of those swells at the first finger.
 
My thoughts too, great looking blade but the handle could lose the goofy shaping.

his knives look awesome... i especially like that omni-boss....:D
 
I read the article, and it sounds like he lives relatively close to me (it said Chicago area). I was thinking of giving him a call.
 
Looks like a great knife. I'd like to handle the knife prior to making a comment on the handle design. It doesn't look all that comfortable, but I'm sure there was thought that went into it looking like that.
 
Thanks for the input. This is one of those knives I will ask for on an anniversary that my wife gets jewelry. I only have 3 on this list, but with a year wait and at $500.00, it will take some planning. I love the aesthetics, but would like further input from any users. The article was invaluable, and my email to Tim Horan was answered promptly and succinctly. So I am well on my way to being convinced and saving my pennies.
