I didn't mean to re-kindle a HOG debate... I probably should have entitled my thread differently. HOG-dome involves an interesting combination of the greed (for INFI) and generousity, i.e.:

- ruthless acquisition of INFI, including "eating your own" :)

- pride of ownership, and of how much commitment people have dedicated to the Busse community (time and financial resources)

- at the same time, helping others acquire INFI... even newcomers who blunder into the forum with a frustrated first post of "If Busse is so good, how come I can't find how to purchase this specific Busse model...?". Chances are, very quickly someone will have helped them out rather than the usual "RTFM"-type response in many other forums

- generousity when someone else is in need, particularly fellow forumites or those scarificing for all of us (military, law enforcement, fire fighters, paramedics)

Sorry... getting sentimental again. This a place of wonderful contradictions! :)

Really??? Thanxx for telling me, 'cause I had a darn good idea where it is, err WAS. I've been hoping for a legitimate reason to travel out to SD, so I could visit the zoo to claim the prize. Sorry it wasn't there for ya, as it's no secret that you've been hunting it for some time.

Bravado did get one of them. . . It's the other one that continues to elude him!!!!!

That would be the big $500.00 tag that's still floatin' around out there somewhere!!!!!

That makes it a $1,000.00 tag! And that is the most valuable tag in Busse history!!!

blah blah, snort snort, contrary to some folks' opinions - being a HOG is not measured by the number of blades one owns nor whether or not you've shaken Jerry's hand nor by your post count or time spent around here or any other so-called criteria, but most importantly by brand-love, and I'll pit my one-Busse-owning HOGness against anyone else any day (doing what, I don't know, but you catch my drift) - besides (laughs at the ridiculousness of the distinction) at least I use my INFI... and what, pray tell, could possibly be more indicative of being a HOG than actually using these fine knives?

to each their own, shrug, but that's my take and I'm sticking to it... ;)

Well, that's awesome and all, but still not worth 11+ hours round trip, not to mention the cost of the flight on a ticket for me. Too bad though, 'cause I'm 99% sure that I know where it is. Good luck to those closer to the prize!! :thumbup:

That is absolutely correct. State of mind, NOT state of credit limit.
 
Why does everyone try to hide the truth about becoming a HOG? It has nothing to do with anything mentioned above. THE ONLY CRITERIA IS TO PERFORM THE HOG INDUCTION DANCE. And of course the induction panties that the piglet must wear. Ask Garth for his if you are out of pink.
