I think the original idea behind the game was NOT to use any word more than 1x per puzzle.

However, I've still got a copy of the entire "original" word list (which isn't of any use past Nov 2022) and I've played all of the words used going back to Game #1 but I'm just too lazy to check to see if any word has been used before or not because it I don't think it matters.

It might lower my score on a couple of puzzles but it really has no effect on my average score over the long term, which is what matters most to me.

Rats, I think I was down to three choices after two guesses. I should have taken a hint from everyone else's pattern and gone with the third word I came up with first.

On the other hand, I got Worldle in three guesses today, and I bet that's a top 1% finish LOL.

Is anyone else having less fun playing wordle lately? I mean, once you get your method locked in it's pretty hard to miss one.

Recently, I've more enjoyed trying to get the pangram in the spelling bee.

No, I still have a blast with Wordle. I really like that you only do one a day, so it is kind of a minor highlight. I do Worldle as well, which can be savage. With Wordle to me it's about trying to get my average down.

I still enjoy it because it's a "Goldilocks" game for me.

Not too easy, not too difficult & not too time consuming but still challenging enough to keep it interesting enough for me to continue to play it as a daily mental exercise device.

The original game was arbitrarily designed to end in 2027 (when I'll turn 77, should I live so long) but my guess is that the NYT will continue to promote the game as long as it remains popular.

Well, whatever you're doing it's working. I can only hope to be as sharp as you should I make it to my 70's!

That said, I still have my sad smiley locked and loaded for that fateful day when you bogey ;)
