08/21/2023: Wordle 793 4/6
48 choices after 2 and still 2 after 3. Chose
the word w/the lower frequency key letter.
NYT Average: 3.5
08/20/2023: Wordle 792 3/6
![]()
2 choices after 2 for me. The other word was GUEST.
NYT Average: 3.9
The NYT average seems to be beating our group of players here on Blade Forums, with this important exception from our madcap_magician. I wonder if your starter word is a more common one for most NYT players?Wordle 793 2/6*
Quick one today, got lucky on the first word that occured to me with the most likely vowel pattern that appeared after my first guess.
I was slightly less lucky, but I'll take it.Wordle 793 2/6*

I've been using a consistent start word for a couple months now. It's really good, but actually I think not ideal. I think compared to Sgt1372's system I will get more 2s but also more 5s.The NYT average seems to be beating our group of players here on Blade Forums, with this important exception from our madcap_magician. That makes sense. I have an unusual start word--it has a good amount of vowels, but is unlikely to ever be a word the editor chooses--I'm actually surprised it is a word that is accepted.I've been using a consistent start word for a couple months now. My fiancee totally makes up word guesses that I swear aren't words, but Wordle just shrugs and accepts them as valid guesses...That makes sense. Can't see it being more efficient...only difference is that L is closer to B in the alphabetI don't understand wordlebot.
How is LEACH more efficient than PEACH, if the answer is BEACH?

I find L to be a very useful letter in early guesses, Wordlebot may consider L a better early guess than P.I don't understand wordlebot.

I can see why wordlebot's programing would have it choose the more commonly used letter first, so that makes some sense. It wouldn't have helped me get the answer any faster or more efficiently in this case, though.I find L to be a very useful letter in early guesses, Wordlebot may consider L a better early guess than P.
I didn't even think of LEACH, and only thought of PEACH after I'd already gotten BEACH, so I got pretty lucky!I can see why wordlebot's programing would have it choose the more commonly used letter first, so that makes some sense.
