Same here. I prefer to play the game without the past words list, but at times I think my scores would be better if I did use a list.

I only check the past list after two guesses or if after my first guess I think I know what it is.

Happy New Year's Eve, Everyone!!!!

Some great football scheduled to watch on TV today & tomorrow which is what I'll be doing for the most part.

Glad that Dallas helped the Niners by beating the Lions last night &, of course, I'm going to watch the Niners play the Commanders today but I'll also be interested in the Eagles v Cards & Ravens v Dolphins games today.

For tomorrow, I'm rooting for Michigan to beat Alabama. Don't really care who wins the Texas v Washington game but, if forced to choose, I'd pick Washington simply because they are still in the Pac12 (as it is currently known) but will be in the Big10 (which will actually become the Big16) next year.

A really low NYT average but still less than 50% solved it in 3. So, it's still just a Par 4.

It's an extra step but I find it pretty easy to check past words. It doesn't always help to reduce the available choices but it's invaluable when it does.
