I had a great green letter on my second word (which is my standard second word if I get all black squares with my standard opening word) that by process of elimination narrowed the fourth letter down to only three possible letters and ensured my yellow letter must be the second letter.

After that it was fairly straightforward, four words left, one had been used, and then I played an appropriate gut feeling (LOL) and it paid off.
